In partnership with National Geographic, we developed the educator-centered course, Learning through Citizen Science. This self-paced, on-demand course takes you through the following learning journey: 

• Module 1: What Is Global Citizen Science?— Explore global citizen science and how it brings engagement, relevance, and authenticity to learning. (30 min)

• Module 2: Become a Citizen Scientist— Try out three global citizen science projects to learn how they work. (90 min) 

• Module 3: Select one of the following citizen science platforms for a deeper dive into its value as a teaching tool. You can complete more, but only one is required. 

  • iNaturalist (about 3 hrs)

  • Debris Tracker (about 3 hrs)

  • Camera Traps (about 3 hrs)
